Suffolk Beach Question
What beach (besides the ocean) in Suffolk County has smooth sand. We love West Meadow in StonyBrook but it's rocky. Looking for somewhere similar, preferably in Brookhaven town or even where we can pay if not a Brookhaven resident. Anyone have any rec? Thanks!

Suffolk Beach Question
I think being rocky is really a north shore issue. You shouldn't have that issue on the south shore. There are bay beaches which are good for little ones like corey beach. Not brookhaven, but I take DD to blue point beach just to walk around and play on the playground. I've never had an issue with not being a resident since it's usually pretty empty. For the ocean, we go to Davis Park which means taking the ferry from Patchogue. Haven't been but just heard good things about Meschutt beach which is on the peconic bay and good for LOs.
