Siding: Certainteed Seagrass or Georgia Pacific Thistle
Does anyone have either of these sidings? If so, would you mind posting a pic. Not much comes up on a google search in terms of real houses THanks!

Certainteed is one of the biggest names in siding (along with GP). I would bet that there are dozens of lawsuits against both companies at any point in time. Most of the time, buckling is due to improper installation. If their product was not up to par, there would be thousands of lawsuits, and you would see buckled siding on every block.
We have Certainteed siding, and 4 years later, it still looks brand-new. At this point in time, I wouldn't use any other brand, just from my own personal experience.
You'll get plenty of favorable and unfavorable opinions about any large company or product.

can you tell me where you bought the siding? I would like to go someplace and look at it in person. Also, do you remember the price per square (I know it was 4 yrs ago, just trying to get roundabout pricing compared to GP) Thank yoU!

My GC bought it as part of a much larger renovation, so I don't know where he got it from. The pricing also varies significantly based on what type of siding you get. The front of our house is Cedar Impressions, which has the look of cedar shingles. The sides and back are traditional clapboard. The price for the front and back are very different. It was an extra $3k to upgrade the front of the house from clapboard style to the cedar look.

Yes, we are looking for the same thing. My husband is calling for prices now!
