Is 2 nights enough for Montreal? I'm thinking I should add another night since we are planning on driving there.

Re: Montreal
3 nights would be nice. There is a lot to do there. I went to Plattsburgh and always did day trips when I was up there. But, I was able to do a ton of day trips and varied what we did.

Re: Montreal
It depends on what you want to do. I went years ago ( first vacation with DH) and we took Amtrak & went for 6 days.
1 day was train, then dinner in Montreal. We had 4 days in the city & we packed a lot in. And then the 6th day was the train home.

Re: Montreal
It's our first time there. I just added another night. Any recommendation on restaurants, places to see?

Re: Montreal
I don't have any specific rec's but, there is a tourist info center there that I stop by every single time. It's huge and they are so great. They know every place to eat and are fun.
Stop by old Montreal. It's a cobblestone street area with little French cafe's. Really nice. There is the underground mall that is insane. The shopping there is great. The casino is fun. There is really nice art museum. And there is club supersex...

I've gone to Montreal twice. Once with my old job (flying) and once in college (driving). We stayed three nights with work (only had one day to do touristy things) and two nights with college.
I would recommend staying for at least three nights if you can because driving is a long trip and it felt like we got there, turned around and came home.

Re: Montreal
LOVE Montreal! We've been there twice - and both times stayed 2 nights - we felt that was good but it was just the two of us. I think the third day we drove back a bit later in the day so we got the morning there.
Tons of amazing food there - especially in Old Montreal. That was my favorite place of all. There is a place where you can get poutin there (there's TONS) but I think it's literally called poutin something (I might have spelling wrong) in Old Montreal, so yummy.
