Swim Vest for Beginner swimmers

Hi

My 4 year old has taken a few swim lessons this winter and while he can swim a little bit and is comfortable in the water I am not comfortable with him going in the water unassisted without something yet. His swim instructor said to get him some sort of vest that you can remove pieces out of as he gets stronger at swimming by himself.

Does anyone have anything like this or use any kind of swimming vest for their beginner swimmers?

I dont want anything for his arms just his chest.

I don't have one...
But I see them at toys r us..
Called a swim trainer.
