carpal tunnel during pregnancy
I think I maybe forming carpal tunnel.... I read online its common during pregnancy. BC The fluid retention n swelling u get from pregnancy can increase pressure in the narrow and inflexible space, compressing the nerves....
Is anyone going though this???

I had it. I would wake up and not be able to bend my fingers and they hurt terribly. I just dealt and then the pain literally disappeared once I gave birth.

They make the wrist/hand braces to wear while you sleep. Give them a shot It should disappear after birth

I had it years ago, from my days playing the clarinet in college (music major here). It's just now starting back up again, with the numbness in my fingers, no pain just yet.

I am, its horrible! It has gotten so much worse for me over the past week (I am 36 weeks). Its cramping my style at work (I use the computer all day) and at home because I have 75 shower thank you notes to write and I can barely hold a pen. Not good! All my OB has suggested so far is the wrist guards they sell at the drugstores and sleeping with my hands elevated on a pillow. Neither seems to make much a difference for me so I am just counting down the next 28 days and hoping it goes away as soon as I deliver!

I had it really bad during pregnancy. I am 15 weeks post partum and it still has not gone away completely. My dr says sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't after six months I might need surgery.

I have it pretty bad, im currently 32 weeks and it started at around 20 weeks..first with one hand, and only at night, then the other hand now its just constant. when i only had the numbness/achiness at night the braces helped, now nothing really seems to help. My ob says there really is nothing you can do. Sorry to be so discouraging! hopefully the braces will work for you!
