Japanese hair straightening and breast feeding
for both kids when they were 2-3months old. Both times it was the first time away from them for 4 hours.

I'm not an overly cautious, crazy person, but I'd never get Japanese/Brazilian while BFing... way too many dangerous chemicals.

I feel like Japanese straightening has formaldehyde in it ?
If so, I would be cautious with having it while breastfeeding.
That's a pretty serious chemical.

No one is going to say that dying your hair, getting your nails done etc.... has been proven safe in breastfeeding or pregnancy. I'm sure there hasn't been studies to see if the chemical pass into breastmilk. But I do know that you can drink alcohol and take certain prescription medications while breastfeeding
