Can endometrin cause brown spotting?
I ran out of my reg progesterone and had a box of endometrin. I started it a few days ago and have notice an initial burn when it's in and now very light brown spotting mixed with the suppository, kinda like specks of light brown? It's weird. Can this be from the endometrin?
The sonographer checked in the uterus for bleeding and didn't find anything so says it can be from the cervix.

I started spotting after stopping the progesterone. My sonos were fine so I assumed it was the change in hormones. I know with injecting you are getting a higher dose of hormones quicker than using the suppositories so maybe it's a similar situation?

Yes. I had brown spotting the whole time I was on Endometrin. I asked my RE and it's completely normal. When you insert the applicator you scrape the cervix which can cause some brown spotting.

Do you need progesterone? I have a few suppositories left from my first trimester, I don't mind sending them to you.
I know it's the most scary and discouraging thing to see spotting, but it is normal especially when you switch from one medication to another. I spotted when I came off of progesterone suppositories and it totally freaked me out. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying for you.

Hang in there!!! The pregnancy with the most spotting for me was with my DS. Some even bright red! So it's not always bad.

Mine was red and turned more brown after some time. It can be the change from progesterone to endometrin.

I had specs of red blood from the progesterone supps a Dr. T prescribes. Happened twice. I think it's a side effect. Currently 20.5 weeks pregnant.

Try to relax. When you're pregnant, there is increased blood flow to the cervix, so when you stick the suppository in, you may spot. It's normal. if you are not cramping or soaking through a pad, you should be fine.

When I was on endometriin I bleed like a period for a day
I was going crazy since it as so early in our preg
It was def progesterone and we now have a beautiful 2 month
Call your re and get all your answers

The spotting was barely there this morning and is non existent now. I happened to forget my suppository this morning so I am totally thinking it is the endometrin.
I have a nabothian cyst on my cervix so there's a good chance the progesterone is causing it to rupture. My nurse said that usually with miscarriage, the spotting will get worse and more red along with cramping which I do not have. I am going to wait it out until Thursday for the growth sono unless the bleeding picks up again. What a scare! I hate the fact that they want me to stay on it!

My doc ruptured a cyst on my cervix during my last IVF. I had bleeding weeks 5-9, and I used PIO. OB thought there might have been another cyst, or that the increased blood flow was the reason.

That's so nice of you!! I asked the RN and they want me staying on endometrin now that I already started it. I appreciate the thought! When were you taken off the supps? I can't wait.

No problem!  I started getting weened off of progesterone at 10 weeks and experienced spotting that very same week- it was very scary but everything turned out okay. By 11 weeks I was totally weened off the progesterone.
