Re: Please tell me the best cruises or ships for families out of the NY area
we did the NCL breakaway right before Christmas. we went to florida and the Bahamas. DS is 3, and we all had a really good time! the food was good, staff was friendly. they had a mini golf course, mini "ropes course" for the kids ( under the big one for the adults), a little splash area for the little kids, 2 pools, water slides. They also have the drop-off kids club, but DS is a mommas boy and wouldn't stay :-/ biggest thing to know is that its their largest ship- I tink over 4000 passengers. so it did feel crowded at times- mostly in the buffet during meal times. and on "sea" days, waiting for the ropes course and things like that. It didn't ruin the trip or anything... just something to look out for.

Please tell me the best cruises or ships for families out of the NY area
We just came back from a cruise to Bermuda on the Norwegian Breakaway. We had a great time. I read a lot of mixed reviews prior to going on the trip which made me really nervous but honestly it was a really nice trip. DS is only 2 so we didn't really get to enjoy the ropes course or water slides but we did do breakfast with spongebob and dora which was cute. They also had a sprinkler area and kiddie pool which fun for the kids. I can imagine it would get a little hectic in the middle of summer because it is such a large ship but when we went (last week) there weren't a lot of children there at all due to school still being in session.
