Kinda nervous
I'm 11 weeks 1 day and earlier this evening I had some very slight brown spotting. It was basically 2 little drops of light brown on my undies when I got up after a nap. It was maybe 1-2 hours after I finally went to the bathroom. I've had nothing else since then. I'm sure it's all fine, I'm just so nervous now. Trying so hard to relax!

I know it's so difficult, but try not to worry. As long as it's not red, you are not soaking a pad, and you are not cramping you should be fine. Call your doc tomorrow, just to let them know. They may have you come in.

I am def calling my doc in the morning. No cramping, just gas (which is always, lol) and it totally was probably just for a minute earlier today... Nothing in hours. Trying to keep calm, game of thrones starts soon, so that will distract me

Did you have sex within the past day or so? That could cause a little bleeding. There should be nothing to worry about though! Just mention it to your OB next time you see him/her!

No sex for us because we are both so nervous! I'm thinking it was just from the constipation and the poop finally.

Brown is the best spotting to have! Its probably just some old blood getting pushed out and 99% of the time means absolutely nothing.
I understand though, I had it my first pregnancy and freaked out!

Re: Kinda nervous
I spotted throughout my first trimester during my first pregnancy. It's completely normal. As long as it's not accompanied by cramps and bleeding, you should be fine!!!

I also spotted throughout my first trimester 1st time around. I went to the Dr every time. I was just super nervous but everything was always ok. I think as long as it's not bright red blood and no cramping it's fine.

I called and left a message for my doctor because I'm a nervous ninny. I have my ultrascan scheduled for next Thursday (I was just there on Thursday and she found the HB super quickly on the doppler). I'm sure it was just from the poop.

And no cramping, just lots of gas (I can literally feel it moving around) and constipation.

Ugh I had the slightest bit of pink in my discharge just now when I wiped. Still feel the same. I have spent the last half hour trying to reach someone in my ob's office and I am LIVID. After 15 minutes no one picked up and I had to pee again (nothing this time). I ended up leaving another (very angry) message for my doctor, reiterating how nervous I was now and that I wanted a call back ASAP.

Jess, get in to see the doctor. You'll feel better.

I'm trying but the jerks aren't getting back to me, it's getting annoying! They are usually so good about responding, I'm honestly very surprised.

I'm 11w2d, just heard back, the nurse didn't think it sounded like anything but she is paging the on call doctor then calling me back. I'm working an hour away from home today because my medical assistant is out sick and I have to cover (the joys of being the manager).... The dr on call said it was probably just from my constipation and straining but they are getting me in to see my dr tomorrow at 1:30. I'll take a long lunch at work.

Re: Kinda nervous
I had spotting with both dc #1 and #2. I had the same type of brown and pink spotting. There was never a cause found either time and I went on to have 2 healthy children! Good Luck!

I had spotting throughout my first pregnancy with DS and it was pink...All turned out fine! First time it happened was around 10 or 11 weeks and I almost had a heart attack. It happened again later a few times too.

I had exactly what you described - at first it was just a few brown spots and then some pink when I wiped. I hadn't had sex at all and was freaking out. I was about 5 weeks. Went to dr - incompetent man told me I was having a miscarriage, but DS is 15 months and perfectly healthy. You are much further along, so they can check for heartbeat. But it's most likely nothing to worry about. I would definitely go to the dr asap and just hear LO's heartbeat for peace of mind. It's not good for you to be so nervous!!! GL!

Yeah, at 5 weeks, I would feel differently. I'm 11weeks 3 days, VERY different. Honestly, just went to the bathroom and really just realized how much I AM straining, I hadn't realized. Also, I just heard the hb last Thursday. I'm not worried anymore, but am still going in tomorrow.

During my first pregnancy I scrutinized every piece of tp just bc I was nervous. This time I go out of my way not to look!
I will say, a few months after I had DC there was a while that I would get a little red vaginal bleeding after a bm. I eventually had it checked out and it turned out there was some tissue that was getting irritated and bleeding but it was no big deal. There are so many causes of spotting during pregnancy, I think just to get us used to dealing with the nerves of parenthood!

Right, my goodness. I actually was able to go again last night (yay - twice in two days!!!) and I really realized how much I actually am straining. And, sorry for TMI, but when you really feel the constipation as it's building up, you can feel that EVERYWHERE, so I can totally see pressure from that even causing some ruptured vessels anywhere.
