Whats the best time of year to go? Also, whats the difference between them all? I see paradise island, the cove, the reef, the beach towers, coral towers...which is ideal for a family of 4 (kids 5 and 2)?

Avoid hurricane season, may-October.
Some of those properties are newer, nicer and more private.

Avoid high season times. We had a terrible, very expensive, overcrowded visit because it was Easter break.

I would pick March-April for best weather but avoid the spring break weeks. I personally would do first week of March of last week of April.
We stayed at the Cove and loved it. It was a short walk to the water parks and you have the serenity of private beaches and pools that only Cove/Reef guests can use. Reef would also be a good choice. We will probably try Reef next time we go.
