where can we 'buy' someones week at disney?
i always see people selling their timeshare at disney for that vacation club and i remember someone mentioning a website that you can buy and sell on. i can not find it anywhere.
i need something with at least 1 bedroom and we were not that impressed with the art of animation suites last time we went so i want to try and get a villa at a different resort, figured this might be cheaper.

has anyone ever done this before? is it worth it for us, we NEED at least a 1 bedroom just so that when the kids nap or go to bed we still have some sort of living space and are not tip toeing around.
i checked out those sites and it seems almost too good to be true....1 bedroom suites for under $2000 for 4-5 nights?!?!

We rented points through a co-worker a few years ago at Saratoga Springs in a 1 bedroom. Worked out great, price was cheap (wasn't super thrilled with that resort) Lots of people do it. Just so you know, you don't get daily housekeeping when you rent points, unless you pay for it.

We rented points for a trip this coming November. We rented from a private owner I found on the rent/trade board on mouseowners.com. It's not too good to be true. Yes, the rooms are severely discounted when you rent points, but they come with a lot more restrictions. You generally can't make changes to the reservation or cancel. So if you do rent I would suggest getting trip insurance.
ETA: one other thing - for the more popular DVC resorts (Bay Lake Tower, Beach Club, Animal Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge) you will generally need to make your reservations more than 7 months in advance. If you're looking to go one more popular weeks you will have to book at the 11 month mark.

I just rented DVC points from David's Vacation Club.
Super easy & pleasure to deal with
Staying in a 1 bedroom villa for 1/2 the price of going through Disney.

Sometimes you can get a villa under a 35% off offer.
I rent my extra points out through the DVC rental store. If you can find someone privately it will be cheaper. Try mouseowners.com
