Moms of 2 lo's?!

Did you have a bit of guilt becoming pregnant a second time? My first dc has been my one and only for so long; I feel almost guilty for bringing another lo into the world. I'm Afraid she'll feel left out, feel slighted and upset. I know jealousy is only normal in the beginning, but I can't shake this feeling. Don't get me wrong, dh and I are ecstatic to give her a sibling but lately I feel bad. I hope she never thinks I'm trying to replace her.

How did you ladies deal?

I am currently pregnant w my 2nd and I feel the same way but I remind myself that a sibling is the greatest gift you can give your DC Chat Icon

i still go through times of terrible guilt (im 38 weeks today). i feel guilty that dd1 wont get my full attention and i also feel guilty that #2 wont get my full attention either. but having a sibling is amazing and worth it

DH and I are both older in age and don't plan on having any more children. If we were younger we definitely would and I know I would totally feel the same way as you.

When I found out I was expecting #2; other than from the shock; I cried thinking about my DS #1. i didn't want him to feel jipped; I have been able to give him all my attention his whole life. I didn't want him to feel like he had to share me. Everyone told me it was normal to feel that way. He'll have a sibling that he can play with.
