Travelers checks?
We are going to puerto Rico and don't know how much cash to bring. We will probably put the majority on our credit card but didn't know if we should bring cash or travelers checks.

Travelers checks?
For domestic travel, it's really not necessary to bring travelers checks. We usually bring credit cards and cash but end up using credit cards in most places.

You don't need travelers checks. You can use US dollars.
I usually take around $500 cash on all vacations. I almost always only use $100-200 and that is mostly on tips and maybe an occasional street vendor. I charge most everything.
