Family friendly hotels in Philly?

Looking for a family friendly hotel in Philly. Something preferably close to the city center but I'm open to all suggestions.

Also, any tips on places to go see and/or visit? Places to eat?

We are planning to go to the Please Touch museum and go see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, etc. But I'm pretty clueless beyond that. Our kids are 4 and 2.

Thanks!!

I went with friends but, we stayed at the Embassy Suites. It was in a good location and we liked having the two separate rooms.

We stayed at the Double Tree last time and it was very nice. It was close to Reading Market but about a 10 block walk to Liberty Bell, etc. We took a bus to the Please Touch Museum. We had our car but we were adventurous! This summer we are staying at the Best Western in Independence Park. That is right in the center of it all. We have yet to stay there but DH was sold with the location alone. I will fill you in when we go.

I never stayed there (they were fully booked for the time we needed) but when I passed by I though what a perfect location it is: right next to almost all the museums!

We like the Courtyard Marriott.. it was centrally located, the room was spacious and there were multiple parking lots around, and we got some coupons, so it worked out.
