If you go past your due date...
how often does your dr see you?
I saw my dr at my 40w apt and then they don't want me back for another sono/apt until 41w. I always thought at that point they see you every couple of days ...

Re: If you go past your due date...
I think it depends on your doctor. I was late with DD. At my 40 week appt, my ob and I chose a date for an induction. I didn't see my Ob again until I went to the hospital (2 days before we were going to induce labor) at the 41 week mark.

I had to go in twice a week once I hit my due date. Went into labor the day before 42 weeks.

Depends on what's going on. If all is well - the one week is fine. Don't forget due dates are estimates anyway. I went every few says after 40 for DS, had plans for induction and delivered almost at 42

i guess it depends on your doctor...
when i hit 40 weeks my dr had me going for non stress tests every 3 days (she sent me to the hospital for the testing). Assuming the results were fine I had no appts to see her until my scheduled induction at 41w4d

Im trying for a Vbac and so far 2cm and 50% - I just thought they check you every few days to look at fluid levels and see if any progress on dilation etc.

They did a biophysical profile when I went in which included a sono and monitoring me for contractions. They didn't do internals during most of those appointments. I actually only had 2 my whole pregnancy - on my due date and at my last appointment at about 10 days past due.

Re: If you go past your due date...
I had an appt @ 40 weeks then my next scheduled was @ 41 weeks (the day I went into labor) which would have been for a NST (my first sono since 20 weeks)
