Exactly the same....started at different times of the day, but otherwise, exactly the same. Started with one fairly stong contractions, all intense back labor, , had to break my water for me, 6-7 hours from time of first contraction to 10cm.

Re: labor - differecenes between 1st and 2nd
Pretty similar
DC#1- water broke at 9:30pm and contractions started about 30-40 minutes later. DC was born 14 hours after my water broke
DC#2- water broke around 11pm, contractions started about 40 minutes later but become very intense and I progressed much quicker. DC was born 6 hours after my water broke.

Re: labor - differecenes between 1st and 2nd
They where different. One thing that was the same was they where both born at night abd around the same time. One at 1020 one at 1027pm.
Baby #1 I woke up around 6 am to the start of contractions. They where mild and far apart when they started but I knew they where real contractions. About 2 hours in I lost my mucus plug. I went to hospital around 12pm and they admitted me. Contractions where pretty strong at that point and about 5 min apart. They gave me pitocin which speeded everything up and broke my water. Got Epi soon after that and felt nothing. I delivered my son at 1020pm. Felt nothing from epidural. Pushed for 2 hours.
Baby #2 Went into labor at around 11pm. I knew it was real contractions. They where a good 10-15 min apart and a lot of pain in my back. I paced around for a while abd watched TV. Got ready to go at anytime. Then 3 hours in they just stopped completely. I was so confused. I went to bed and called doctor office in morning. I went in for an exam and I was only about 2cm dilated and nothing going on. Doctor said probably false labor. I went home upset since I was already 6 days late and so done. Then at about 1pm they started up again. Really strong this time. At around 4 I was talking to my mom in phone abd telling her they are so painful but not 5 min apart. More like 10 min. She told me to call doctor and go anyway. So I did and when I got to hospital they completely stopped again. They started monitoring my contractions and wanted to send me home. They decided to do an internal and guess what I was 5 almost 6cm dilated abd fully effected. They admitted me and my contractions came back full force. I got an Epi right away. Only about one hour past between them admitting me and doctor coming into break my water and examine me. I went from 5cm to 9cm in and hour. I was going so fast the epidural wasn't working great. Only partially numb one side. At around 10 I started pushing and he came out in about 20 minutes. Felt everything this time around. What true pushing feels like. The ring of fire or what ever they all it is very true. Thank goodness my mom told me to go and they didn't send me home.

I think the main difference between my first and second labor was that I knew that I was in labor much quicker the second time lol

DS 1 - I was induced 4 days late. I was induced in the morning and delivered him at 9:10pm after 20 minutes of pushing. I was in a lot of pain the last couple of hours because of his position.
DS 2 - I started having contractions at 37w6d and went to the hospital thinking my water broke but it hadn't. The contractions were regular but, stopped after I was hooked up to IV. I went back to the hospital at 38w1d with regular contractions again, stayed for monitoring and my water broke shortly after. Contractions were irregular so they gave me pitocin around 5:30pm. I was ready to push around 7:20 and he was born at 7:29. I felt no pain during the process and I felt more like myself a lot sooner than with DS 1.

Re: labor - differecenes between 1st and 2nd
Thanks everyone.
For DD i was 1 day past by due date and i woke up with spotting and contractions and hung out at home most of the day, called my dr, went to the hospital and was 5 cm. Got to the hospital around 6pm and DD was born just before midnight.
So curious as to how things will go this time...
