what was your down syndrome #?

what was your down syndrome # and how old are you?

I am 33 and my number was 1:2000. Is that good? this is my 3rd kid and i feel like my numbers were much better with the first 2 kids, but i know as you get older, the number goes down.

Re: what was your down syndrome #?

1:2,600 this is my first pregnancy and I am 28. My OB wasn't concerned with that number.

Here are some numbers from March of Dimes

Does the risk of Down syndrome increase with the mother’s age?
Yes. The risk of Down syndrome increases with the mother’s age (7):

At age 25, the risk of having a baby with Down syndrome is 1 in 1,250.
At age 30, the risk is 1 in 1,000.
At age 35, the risk is 1 in 400.
At age 40, the risk is 1 in 100.
At age 45, the risk is 1 in 30.

Even though the risk is greater as the mother’s age increases, about 80 percent of babies with Down syndrome are born to women under age 35. This is because younger women have more babies than older women (1).

Me either but maybe because I skipped all the percentage tests and had an amnio?
I am guessing I never had that test.
