BP- when to call doctor?
I started feeling off today- my face was all flushed, and I was a little dizzy.
Had my FIL (he worked as an AMT his whole career) take my blood pressure and it was like 165/85. I'm laying on my left side for a bit, but if it doesn't go down, would you call your OB? I don't have another appointment until Thursday.
I don't want to be a hypochondriac, but I'm so nervous. My blood pressure sky rocketed when my water broke with DS.
I am just shy of 32 weeks. TIA!

BP- when to call doctor?
I would probably call just bc it was enough to make you feel sick. I would just call to see what they want you to do. They may want to see you sooner or may want to do a urine sample to check for protein in your urine. When mine went up it wasn't too bad but they did a 24 hour urine just to be safe and told me what to do, when to call if it happened again. I definitely don't think you're being a hypochondriac at all! Hope you're feeling better.

BP- when to call doctor?
I'd call. I was sent to the hospital for BP monitoring when mine was around that number at 37w. Better safe than sorry IMO.

Re: BP- when to call doctor?
I would still call. I had high BP during my pregnancy, controlled with meds. The more important number is the bottom number. The top number will fluctuate with nerves, stress etc.
Your bottom number isn't too bad but I'd still call. Better to be safe.

Re: BP- when to call doctor?
I'd definitely call. With bp high like that and the dizziness, the flags are starting to go up. After battling with pre-e I was constantly being asked about headaches, blurriness and dizziness, so yea definitely call.

I laid on my left side for like 30 minutes and when he took it again it was like 142/82. Would you still call? I'm feeling better and te dizziness is gone
ETA: I called. She said to keep monitoring it and if it goes above 140/90, that she wants me to go to L&D.
Thanks girls. I feel better that I called
