Ques about Empire Pass
My ILs bought an Empire Pass for their car this year but haven't put it on yet because they realized they're over 60 and should be getting into the NYS parks for no charge. Is this true?
If so, DH and I want to buy their Empire Pass because I don't believe it's linked to their vehicle registration/type. Can we do this?

If they are 60+ they may get into state parks free during the week with ID. I believe it's called the 'golden program' or something. My dad loves it They still have to pay on weekends though.
If they have yet to put the sticker on their car, it's fine for you to use it. Half the time the places glance at it and wave you through anyway.

I think it's free on weekdays. You can buy it from them. We buy a few and give them to family.
