So upset about my skin... help!!
I can't take it anymore... I am waiting and waiting to have that pregnancy "glow" and instead, all I have is a face full of the worst acne I have ever had in my life. Nothing seems to be working, and I am so afraid to use anything prescription or proactive because of all of the mixed opinions about harming the baby. I don't know what to do at this point, now its actually painful in some places and itchy in others... and I can't even look at myself in the mirror.
What is everyone else doing about their skin?

I went for a facial at Edamame. I bought the products that they offer (I can't recall the name right now, but if you go to the website, you will see them) and they helped tremendously! They are perfectly safe for pregnant woman, as Edamame is a pregnancy spa.
Good luck. I know exactly how you feel, unfortunately.

I used a lot of makeup (and i usually don't wear makeup). I never got a prengnancy glow and had instead acne, burst capilleries under my skin on my cheeks and more red frekles all over my body. I never knew of the skin issues till after i got pregnant. In fact before i knew i was preggo i though i was having a bad reaction to soemthing on my face.
ETA - Right after i had the babies it all went away!

My skin is still bad - though it's beginning to improve after the horrific acne I developed at 5 weeks. I use proactive sparingly but I didnt think it was working (and I was nervous about using it)
I started using a line of cleansers called Aubrey Organics. I use the ones for oily skin and so far I've noticed a difference. My forehead is still the forehead of a 13 year old girl, but at least the rest of my face is pretty much back to normal. Hopefully this will get better - its awful!!!!!!!

When I first got pregnant, my skin was AWFUL. I am however, using proactive which my doctor said was fine. My skin is MUCH clearer now. I hope you find the right solution for you

every morning i use a scrub on my face...with those seeds...st. ives makes one peach scented...
and i used a mint one with seeds...doesnt burn.... just feels like soap with seeds....it helps scrub away the dead skin cells...to keep your face smoother..... i figure its about the only thing I feel comfortable using. If my face gets bad, then i'll start it twice a day.

I use the Proactive face wash and the toner, b/c its only face wash. I don't use the lotion you put on at night. My dr. said it was fine b/c it doesnt have accutane in it.

I use both of these and the lotion as well. My Doctor said the only thing to stay away from is salicylic (sp) acid and of course accutane

I was using Mirco Retin A before which is bad and when I went back the doc swicthed my prescription to Erythromycin pads which has been working pretty well.
