What are some of your favorites? Ideally close to LA - but not actually LA. Looking for a 3-4 day type of thing that's relaxing.

I would have said napa or yountville, but you can't drink so no way.
Maybe Santa Monica? Staying at shutters on the beach? You would rent a car and take nice drives of PCH, get spa treatments, day trips to la, etc

Just an FYI, Napa/Sonoma is no where near LA (if I recall, about an 8+ hour drive, at least)

Yes. It's more a San Fran thing. Which I like way more than LA anyway.

Sorry was confusing San Fran, closer to Napa, than LA. San Diego beautiful too.

Re: West Coast Vacation Spot
Carlsbad, Park Hyatt Aviara
This hotel was built as a Four Seasons, then converted to a Park Hyatt a few years ago. So very nice and a great value.
It's between LA and San Diego, a bit closer to San Diego.

Re: West Coast Vacation Spot
La Jolla. Which is right next to SD so you could go both.
