Spotting in Early Pregnancy
I just started my 7th week. On Thursday I had a sono saw the heartbeat and the doctor said the baby is growing like a weed. I have had occasionally when I wipe a teeny bit of pink or brown on the toilet paper which the doctor said was normal. Yesterday I had sex for the first time in awhile and a few hours later when I went into the bathroom and I some red staining on my underwear and some bright red blood on the paper. It isnt alot at all but it is making me nervous. I still have brown staining. I don't need a liner its only when i go into the bathroom to check. I have some cramping but its the same I have had the past 3 weeks. I am going to call my OB at 9. I had spotting with all my pregnancies so I should be relaxed but I can't help it. I just hope my doctor will get me in today.

Re: Spotting in Early Pregnancy
I had staining this time around up until 10weeks. My dr. wasn't worried. I hope you can get in to see your dr. though just for peace of mind. That did make me feel better about it all.

Thank you for your responses! I called my doctor at 9 and I am still waiting for a call back! I'm just trying to relax and remember I had this with my other pregnancies

Re: Spotting in Early Pregnancy
I went for a sono yesterday (6w1d) and was told that having intercourse could lead to spotting.

Re: Spotting in Early Pregnancy
I had spotting around 10 weeks, just a bit of pink and then later in the day it turned to brown. It was two days after having sex with my husband for the first time since I'd gotten pregnant. Had a sono and there was no bleeding anywhere, everything was perfect. OB said it was just from my cervix and it is common after sex but he did tell me to abstain until 13 weeks. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow and haven't had it since (although I did get it again two days after the first spotting).
I also spotted at 6, almost 7 weeks pg with DS but it was brown only. Went for a sono, saw his HB, all was well. I hadn't had sex so they didn't know for sure what it was from but said it isn't uncommon. Hopefully your OB will bring you in for a sono though to ease your mind.

Re: Spotting in Early Pregnancy
My doctor had me come in and everything looked good! He said I would stain after the exam and if I have sex and sure enough I am staining from the exam. He also said because my uterus is tilted it will be crampy as it gets bigger so now I know why I have naggy pains. I go back in 4 weeks!
