Prevacid
Those of you who had LOs on Prevacid- when did you start to wean off of it?

DS2 just turned 7 months and he is still on it. His reflux is well controlled. DS1 was on Zantac until age 1.

We tried weaning DD off of it twice before we were successful at around 13 months.

Our Ped GI told us to leave him on (Zantac) for as long as he needed it. How would we know when he didn't need it anymore? We would naturally forget to give it to him once and if he was ok, then we knew he was ready to be taken off of it. I think this was probably around 8 months.

Ok thanks. We also thicken her Neocate with rice and our ped said to try to cut back on the rice cereal in the bottle to see how she does. I did and she has started arching again and seeming fidgety. Thinking she's not ready yet.....
