Anyone have success getting a breech baby to turn?
My baby has been head down since about 27 weeks and I just found out on Thursday that he/she has turned breech.I'm almost 35 weeks. My next appt. will be a little over 36 weeks and if, at that point, Baby is still breech, we will discuss doing an external version. I'd love it if Baby would turn before then. I've learned a few tips from yoga and from reading stuff, but am looking for any and all advice I can get! This is my 3rd and I never dealt with this with my first two. Anyone have any natural ways of turning a breech baby?

I don't have any experience myself but the other day talking to a friend they had just said a cousin of hers did acupuncture to turn her baby near the end and it worked...I believe she was past 35weeks at the time

My friend did handstands in a pool---could've been a coincidence, but the baby turned!

Re: Anyone have success getting a breech baby to turn?
I got my DS turned... The short version-- DS turned at 39+ wks. Felt him do it, but didn't realize what happened til a few days later when I went for a drs appt. After the appt, she scheduled me for a version 2 days later. The next day, I went to my chiro. He didn't do the webster technique (which I hear can be successful), but did some things to open up my hips and ligaments. He also used a table that can flip you upside down, and did some gentle movements. I also visited an accupuncturist who did the moxibustion. I also spent a great deal of time on a plank with my feet in the air, and on my hands and knees. I also put ice on the bottom of my belly (which I could feel he didn't like, and he turned sideways, but couldn't get all the way upside down again). I bought the spinning babies MP3 (which I never wound up listening to, due to technical difficulties, and they refunded my money, since by the time it would have worked, I already had him flipped-- so, I would highly recommend them even though I don't actually know if their program works). The next day, I had a version with my midwife and her backup doctor. My DS was over 9 lbs, and tall (don't remember how many inches...) just for reference. I know you aren't asking about the version, but if you wind up going that route, and you have questions, I would be happy to answer those. If I had it to do over, I would do exactly the same thing. Wound up with a beautiful, unmedicated, natural birth.
Hope this helps!!
