Summer Clothes
I'm thinking that this baby is going to come with around 7 weeks of summer left. How many pairs of NB pants, shorts and short creepers should I buy?

Summer Clothes
My son was born at the end of June and I only had a handful of NB sizes (maybe like 5 items). Otherwise he wore size 0-3M depending on the brand. He fit into NB for only about 3 weeks. But it depends on how big your baby is.

Re: Summer Clothes
Both my boys were in newborn for about 3-4 weeks. Then wore 0-3 or month for another 4 weeks. My boys where 7 lbs 3oz and 7lbs 11oz at birth. Depending I the brand. Some brands run really big and some run small. I never had a summer baby. This one will be born in June so I'm trying to figure out what I need as well. My boys where born in March so they where 4/5 months in summer. They wore mostly one piece short outfits. I would just put them in a onesie at home when we where outside. I had a few cute shorts outfits but only put them on when we where going to a party or someone's house. I always kept a pair of Carter's cotton pants, a light sweatshirt jacket and socks in my diaper bag. Especially for night time. In case we where out and it got a little chilly.
Depending on your house, but since we had AC on at night I always put them in zip up feet PJs. Long sleeves. You might want to throw a pair of light pants and socks on during the day as well if your in the house with the AC.

Re: Summer Clothes
It really depends on the baby. DD was 20 inches and over 7lbs at birth, and gained weight at a normal rate. I bought mostly 0-3 before she was born because that's what everyone told me to do. She was absolutely swimming in that size. I ended up running out to grab NB sized clothing, which limmited me mostly to clearance racks becuase stores were already selling the next season's clothing. She wore NB clothes for about 2 months.
If you want to play it safe, buy NB sizes from Carters, don't wash anything ahead of time, and keep your receipts. Wash stuff as you're ready to use it. That way, you can return what you don't end up needing, but you have the seasonal stuff just in case.
