When did you start baby wearing (how young?)

I have the Ergo w/ infant insert. DS is 2 weeks old, and was 7lbs 4oz last Tuesday and 22 inches long. I'd love to start wearing him but feel like he's still too delicate.

I started wearing DD in my ergo w/ infant insert when she was about 2 weeks old. I took my dog for a walk in the evenings so I would just buckle her in and off we would go. She would always fall asleep.

I wore DS in the Moby until about 4-6 weeks in the infant/newborn position; then the normal x once he was the weight. I don't think I put him in the regular carrier until he was a 3 months?

I tried and gave up... I hated how it constricted her. I felt like I was choking her, cutting off blood her legs, or just didn't like how her head slung. Tried 3 different kinds both me and my hubby, we gave up.

I used a moby, a woven wrap and an ergo within the first 2 weeks both my girls were home

Ergo @ 2 weeks. She fell asleep every time input her in it

I started as soon as I came home from the hospital. I used a moby wrap.

I would suggest a stretchy or woven wrap for a newborn. I think I put DS in the Ergo with the insert at 6-8 weeks. He didn't like the insert so I waited a bit longer and then used it without. By 3 months he was in a structured carrier all the time.

was using the moby type wrap immediately and Becco Gemini w/in the first week

I started the ring sling around 2 weeks. I didnt have my Ergo until 3 months old but I love it and would've tried it with the insert at 2 weeks if I had it.

Thinking back I should have done it right away! I agree, use a wrap as soon as you want

Thanks, I totally forgot I have a Moby wrap too from my Dd. I have to YouTube it to see how to wrap a newborn. Thanks for all the replies!
