2 year old and Disney

Any tips? What might I need that I won't think of? Give me your best advice if you've BTDT! Thanks!

We rented a stroller for 5 dollars a day for total of 45 dollars for 6 day trip. From apple stollers

We also ordered groceries from garden grocers so we always had fruit snacks, cheese sticks, juice boxes in the cooler we used at the bottom of stroller...

We used the hotel busses for the whole trip, but my advice with kid that age is wait for the next bus is the bus is full you will not regret it. Too much to stand with a kid in your arms sleeping or wriggling to get free and no people will not always get up for you

We stayed at art of animation and had a blast. We went to parks first thing in am... then went back to hotel for lunch and a swim/nap...

then back to parks at night

DS was 2 years 8 months and we had a blast!!

My younger DS was 2 when we went in October. He's a wanderer. Not crazy and will stay by me, but if something catches his eye he'll walk over so for peace of mind I bright the backpack leash and it was a lifesaver. Worked great waiting on lines. We brought the double stroller with us for my boys who were 4 and 2. Just did gate check. I also feel better at the airport that they're in the stroller. Even though my 4 yr old usually walks disney is big and it's looong days.
Since we got a timeshare off site we rented a car as well so easy to drive to and from park.
We also went food shopping and stocked the kitchen for the week. I brought a cooler bag and we'd freeze the bottled waters, throw them in the cooler bag with snacks, pb and j sandwiches, juice boxes, etc.
Get the heavy duty hooks for the stroller so I kept my backpack and cooler bag on it. Always brought a change if clothes, diapers, wipes, antibacterial sprays and panchos everyday to the park. Even threw in sweatshirts on the bottom of the stroller if it ever got cooler at night.

I think 2 - 2.5 is the best age to go. Definitely order diapers, water and snacks to be delivered. We let DS wander a lot, but we make it clear that if he doesn't listen he gets carried or put in the stroller. He is a runner normally, but he does great in WDW. We've been times since he has turned 2, so lmk if you have any questions!!

2 year old and Disney

We just went - DD was 2 years 9 months. I am a very light traveler - I didn't bring any of that stuff for her. She is potty trained, so we didn't need diapers/wipes, and I brought a few snacks for the plane. Otherwise, she ate off of our plates at all meals, we would buy a water bottle each day at the parks, and if she needed a snack we bought something. As far as strollers go, ours broke on the way down (the Disney hotel had it fixed for us), but for one day we rented the stroller at Disney, and it was $15 for a single stroller and the most uncomfortable stroller ever, so if you are planning on renting then rent it from an outside company ahead of time. We also stayed that the art of animation and had no issues with the buses. My best advice for you is to go to Hollywood and Vine for breakfast or lunch with the Disney Junior characters. It was by far the highlight of our trip.

I agree with all that was said. Plus I stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter so the bus is ALWAYS empty. It only has one bus stop so it comes to us empty. At the park it may be full and yes, we'd wait. Easier to let her sleep in the stroller than try to figure out how to get her on and us.

We let her nap as we walked. She is a great sleeper. Nothing wakes her up. Her naps and all her sleeping got tossed on the trip but hey its vacation!!! We woke her up early and she stayed up late. She was 'just' 3 years old when we did the Halloween trip and she closed the park down at Midnight!!! She loved every moment of it.

There are tons of seated areas around you just don't notice them until you need them. Take the fairy, its a nice ride and great to see the castle come up to you. Chef Mickey, Tusken House, Cindrella's Castle.

If you take a trip to Epcot (which we REQUIRE because we love it and our kid just has to get over it) they have coloring at each country. The coral reef has a huge tank you can eat beside. Lots of lights and water features too. Watching all the Disney characters in their countries is great too. I don't know why Epcot gets a bad rep it is never boring for us and my kid loves it. She watches the Japanese drums, drums in America, watches them make candy, the dancers dance... music everywhere in every country. Taking the small ferry across the circle lake. The main area has lit up tiles, she loves walking under the big ball. There's a bear that she can color and get her name written in every language on and they stamp it. She thought that was awesome.

Plus we paid up and let her pick an oyster and get a pearl in Japan (yeah we spend time there a lot).

ETA: they have the princess breakfast in Epcot in Norway.. which is also where Elsa and Anna were the last time we were there

Oh and if you see the Disney Junior Live show (at Hollywood Studios)... up front seats aren't the best. You sit on the floor. AJ couldn't see the puppets further back on the stage. I wish we had sat further back but we had fast pass so we were way up front (on the line). She still had fun, but I think she could have seen more further back (and this was when she was 5)
