Talk to me about Beaches T&C
What is the best way about planning a trip there? DH and I are thinking about this for next winter (January or February). DD will be almost 2 and a half so we think it will be perfect for her, especially because she loves Sesame Street. What can we expect when we're there? What size accommodations should we get?

Call beaches directly and talk to a rep. That property has different "villages". French, Italian, Caribbean and now key west which is their newest. Some accommodations are newer than others. Some you may prefer one location over the other.
You can get a basic room up to a suite with butler service.
Book the Sesame Street stuff as soon as you book your trip. Ex. The bedtime stories with character, breakfast with character, etc.

My mom is a travel agent and has booked me there twice and several other people. January may still be on the chilly side in Turks. I went late Nov and it was slightly chilly at times.. I had friends who went new years and wore sweatshirts at night..

What is chilly? It's further south than the Bahamas. I was in the Nassau one December and it was in the 80s.

And I was in Nassau a couple of years ago over Christmas break and it was barely 70.

Yes please call a travel agent. Not only do they have things like airfare specials, room upgrades and special discounts, but they also give great advice. For free.

I know it's hit or miss with the Bahamas since it's close to Florida. I thought T&C was far enough south where you didn't have to worry about it.
