When did you tell people?

I do not have my first appt for almost 2 weeks but I am dying to tell people and FH already told his sister and BF. Did anyone else feel worried that something was wrong only after you told people? I don't know if it's that or that I am getting used to the idea and just excited and nervous because I want it so bad now.

Nah we didnt worry, we found out Easter sunday morning I tested and we told our families that day too.
If in the event something had happened, we prefered to have the support of our families instead of keeping a secret.

We have been hesitant to say anyhting to most people. I told my best friend that I work with and my Best friend who lives in VA. We are planning to tell DH's family this weekend, told my brother that weekend and we're going to tell my parents the 2nd week of Oct, only b/c they are out of state and we're going to visit them, want to tell them in person.

It's been hard to keep it secret, but those I did tell, I made sure that I told them I have not "publically" said anything yet. Also, I want our families to know first. I am only 7 weeks, anf my first "real" appt (had the blood test to confirm 2 weeks ago) on Oct. 5

Our parents and my brothers knew after a week. We told our close friends around the same time. Now that I'm almost 14 weeks, I'm slowly telling extended family and other firends.

My mom is like please tell people, I can't keep the secret any longer.

In the beginning, everytime I told someone, I would get this paranoid "oh no" feeling, as in - if something goes wrong, not I have ONE more person to tell -

very pessimistic, I know.... but now at 12 weeks, I'm very comfortable telling everyone....

With my DD, I told our parents immediately, siblings around 6 weeks, friends 9 weeks and everyone else around 13.

This time, I found out I was pregnant two days before we were going down to NC renting a house with 4 other couples. I had to tell all of them because I wouldn't have lasted a day not drinking in front of them all. Also, couldn't go in the hot tub.

I am 7 1/2 weeks now and don't have my first appt. until Tuesday. Our parents, siblings and those 4 couples know. I haven't told anyone else yet.

I tried to keep quiet but I just couldnt help myself.... One person turned into three people turned into six people. Im hopeless!

Going through IVF, our parents and siblings knew immediately.

I've been putting off everyone else for now.

If someone asks, I'll tell them, but I'm not anxious to volunteer it until 12 weeks.

I must add, a casual acquaintance ay work yesterday said "Are you expecting a baby?" and I was sooooo caught off guard.

I didn't want to say no (I feel like that would be bad luck) so I just said "yes, but we haven't told anyone yet so please keep it quiet." I guess my bloatedness is more noticable than I thought!

Due to IVF parents and good friends knew immediately as they knew I was in for the procedure and I was on bedrest.

EVeryone else we wanted to wait until Oct 1 (12 weeks) but I popped at 9 weeks

we waited until 3 months before we told our families and friends.

we told family and close friends right away. I told everyone else including work at 12 weeks

We told our parents a week after the positive pregnancy test. Only because we had a dinner planned with them and they would of known something was up if i didn't have my glass of wine.

I also told one of my best friends right away.

Everyone else we told after we saw the heartbeats at 8 weeks.

i told immediate family right away, and by 6 weeks pregnant my ms was so bad, all the woman in work figured out i was pregnant, so there was no denying it. so long story short everyone knew right away.

I told my best friends, sister, mom, dad and IL's right away...everyone else, including my job, I told around 8-9 weeks, I could not hold it in any more

We told our parents and close friends immediately. But we did ask our parents not to tell anyone until atleast the first sono. Of course my MIL blabbed our news to the entire family within two days. My parents didn't tell anyone until after my first trimester.

We told my immediate family and my BF right away, I was about 6 weeks.

I've had 2 m/c at 13 weeks where people had known. It was hard having to tell people. We thought about waiting until after 14 weeks this time but the way I think about it if anything did happen again I would want the support of my family and friends so I'm glad we told them when we did.

I'm waiting to tell extended family and friends until around 14-16 weeks just to be sure.

We told our parents and my brother as soon as we found out(about 6 weeks) but I have my first appt on Monday so I will see where exactly we are and then decide who I want to share with. I just found out 2 of my friends are PG too...and I am dying to tell them!

We told our parents and siblings right away. I also told my girlfriends (because honestly, if something went wrong, I'd want their support).

But my extended family doesn't know and it is killing me b/c I am kind of ignoring my cousins. I mean, we had the first sonogram last week (at 7weeks) and I am 8 weeks today, but I guess I should wait til 12 to tell them. It is just hard.

With my first pregnancy we told everyone at 8 weeks, with my second pregnancy we told everyone by the 7th week.
