Random comment but: I Freaking LOOOOVE my Mirena!
Just has to be said.
Its been nearly 4 years since my last period. FOUR YEARS!!!! I don't own a tampon or panty liner at all! I have a small pack of panty liners just in case somewhere but haven't really bothered to figure out where.
I have less pimples. I have no pain No cramps No bloating
Seriously wish I had this when I was younger! Yeah morals be darned this is GREAT!
It comes out next year and heck yeah I'm having another put right back in. I have no intentions of having any children but the alternatives would be for me to get my period back and this no period stuff is just freaking fantastic!
Wonder how long I'm allowed to have one before menopause. LOL
Sorry just having one of those Love this stuff moments.

I wish I could say the same. I've had it for a year and I'm ready to have it taken out. At first, it was great. No period, no issues, but apparently my body hates any form of BC because after a few months, everything goes to hell. I have all of the "minor" side effects. They are super annoying! I absolutely do not want another kid but I'm not ready for DH to go get anything taken care of and I will NOT go back on BC, so I feel like my only option is to deal with this. I'll def be speaking with my Dr at my next check up though and I am so jealous of all you ladies who love this!!

Sorry to hear. What has your doc said? Is it the positioning?

Glad to hear you're happy with it. I just had it put in in January. I still have random spotting and light periods. I hope everything goes away soon!

I hated it! I had it for 2 years and my period never even got lighter. My body felt pregnant every month before my period began(nausea, cramps, moody, sore boobs). My cramps were worse than they had ever been. My face was always broken out. I gained 20lbs while on it no matter how strict I was with my eating and working out I just could shed the weight. It was terrible. I cried like crazy when I had it and was rally depressed. I begged my doctor to remove and he swore that all those as moms couldn't be linked to it. I knew they were. I just didn't feel like myself with it in. Once it was out it took a few weeks but all my symptoms disappeared. Glad to hear it works so well for some woman because it was hell for me. Turns out many woman have had the same experience as I did. Hate hearing others going through that hell so it's great seeing a positive post about it!

I haven't had my annual yet, so she hasn't said anything. I doubt it's the positioning, it's probably the hormones, despite how minimal they are. It took me a while to realize that the problems I've been having could be side effects of the Mirena, but considering I seem to be sensitive to any sort of BC with hormones, I'm not surprised. I was just hoping that this was minimal enough not to have an effect, but apparently not. I was really looking forward to the no period thing, but it's been the exact opposite of no period, like constant period. For the last year. I'm over it.
