Call the Whaaaaaamublance
I'm sure other twin/multiple mommies to be understand (as well as singleton mommies 2 be) -- but I'm just done.
34 weeks w/twins - and I feel like my body just can't take any more. Between the EXTREME swelling of my feet/ankles/legs, hands/fingers (so much so that I cannot close them or hold a pen to sign my name!) + some type of pain (supposedly it's this round ligament pain) in my pelvic area (only the left side) + not being able to be comfortable at night b/c no position works at all....
Do you think I can bribe the doctor to pull these kids out of me???!?!??!

I hear ya sista! I'm 36 weeks with twins and I feel like I'm going to deliver them everytime I stand up. Not to mention my days consist mostly of chasing a 14 month old around! I'm soooooo done. My c-section is scheduled for march 20th unless I go into labor on my own first. Do you have a date yet? Are they letting you go past 38 weeks? Hang in there.. We're in the home stretch!

I bow down to you...to keep up with a toddler!!!! I cannot imagine!
Yes, scheduled at 38 weeks (April 7) -- it cannot come soon enough...and I know it sounds HORRIBLE, but I'm hoping they make an appearance at 36 weeks.
Fingers crossed for you!

You're both giving me something to look forward to. Haha! I'm 9 weeks with twins and right now I'm enjoying double the all-day sickness.
Hang in there! It will be worth it in the end.
Why did they schedule your c-section for 38 weeks? I thought that twins were full-term at 37 weeks. I was kind of hoping for one less week of pregnancy.

Been there/done that -- was sick my entire pregnancy w/morning sickness (got better in the third trimester - better, but not gone!).
I know my hospital/OB is not "legally" allowed to schedule twins any earlier than 38 weeks.
CONGRATS!!!

You're so close. Hang in there!

Oh my... You guys are scaring the crap out of me! Lol I'm 17 weeks with twins. Ever since I found out I was having two I said that the thought of the third trimester of this pregnancy scares me more than anything! Lol I was SHOCKED when my Dr said that she would schedule my c sect at 38, possibly 39 weeks!! It's gonna be a rough summer :(
I hope you all feel better and get to see your beautiful babies soon (but not too soon) :)

I'm just over 13 weeks with twins! Question for you girls- are twins typically delivered by C or can they be delivered naturally? My friend who is pregnant with twins thought I was nuts when I said I was going to try to go naturally and if needed, go for C. She is planning for going straight to C. Am I wrong?

Re: Call the Whaaaaaamublance
It's my understanding that you only have to have a C if you've had one previously or if one of the babies are breech.
I had a C with my first and I was disappointed that I couldn't go for a VBAC this time, but at least it will be easier to plan for someone to watch DD.
