Birth!!!!! Not even joking. I had a cough my entire pregnancy. It was from a post nasal drip and went away when I was still in the hospital after giving birth.

Try propping your self up with a few pillows. Lying flat can make it worse. Also check with you OB about the honey-most honey is unpasteurized-I was told I should only use pasteurized honey or honey that was heated above 161 degrees For for at least 15 seconds.

I use a mix or warm water, tbsp apple cider vinegar, raw honey (most effective when it is the raw kind) and cinnamon. I have also heard manuka honey is extremely effective, but I have not tried it.

Re: cough remedies?
Have you tried hot tea - like chamomile with honey? I did that while sick and it helped me.
The sucky thing is that the illness lasts longer than typical with pregnancy b/c of the lack of drugs you can take. My cold lasted a week and a half before it went away. All I took was Benadryl.
