Fever Question

I have a 9 year old stepdaughter who had a stomachache and felt she couldn't eat on Thursday night. She stayed home from school on Friday. She never threw up or had diarrhea but was burping a lot and was lethargic and sleepy all day.

My Mom watches the kids so she was home with my 9yo and my 11 month old DD on Friday. On Friday night we took a one night trip to Boston for my DH's birthday and my Mom watched DD overnight. My Mom said my DD had a fever overnight and that during the day yesterday she was hovering between 100 and 101 all day. Baby has no other symptoms besides the fever. My Mom also said that she herself was feeling "off" but nothing specific.

We came home and got DD yesterday and then at 1am last night she woke up with a fever of 104. I gave her tylenol. She was up until 5am, and during that time she was burping and farting too, but no poop or throw up. When she finally fell back to sleep I could feel that her fever had come down significantly but I did not take her temp again because I did not want to wake her. Fast forward to this AM, she did not wake until 11am. When she woke she had a fever btwn 100 and 101 but again, no other symptoms. She is already back to sleep now.

My ped is closed. Should I bring her to a walk in today? Should I wait it out until tomorrow and then bring her to the ped if she hasn't changed? I feel concerned because of how high the fever was last night without any other real symptoms besides maybe some mild gastro signs.

I'm one tired Mommy today...

Fever Question

I'd wait it out cause 100 is not considered a fever.

Fever Question

I would personally go to a walk in even though theres no ither symptons that fever was pretty high which means the body is trying to fight something.
And even though 100 isnt a fever its raised which again the increase in temp for days and some gi issues means something is going on and the body is fighting something...

I hope she feels better
