Has anyone ever been?

We are going with a huge family group in July.

DD will be 14 months.

Any reviews, insights, feedback?

Tia

I can still help you with any questions you have.

My clients have all loved the resort. The trapeze and circus school is always a favorite.

The different kids clubs offer a lot of great activities and break up the ages in order to make sure the kids are enjoying themselves with children their own ages.

You're going to have a blast!

Re: Club med sandpiper bay in Florida

We just got back from Club med Sandpiper over winter break. We loved it! You will have a great time and there is so much to do...

We had 2 rooms. I had one with my DH deluxe king room o the first floor in building D. It was awesome and huge and quiet. It was closest to the adult pool area. The kids stayed with my inlaws in a deluxe suite room. It was perfect... The rooms are fine. They are not 5 star but you are not int he too that much. They had the best location it was first floor in building c. they were told by management it was the best room in Club med..

Food- is good. They have a marketplace which is huge buffet. I was pleasantly surprised. There was enough different things to eat it was great. They have a restaurant we went one night. Book early... We did not go to the other restaurant.

The main bar is called slice. If you can get past the smell of stale beer it is a fun... The shows are geared toward kids.

There is so many things to do during the day. The kids love the camp, trapeze and circus school was great. Plus tennis, sailing, paddle boarding..

The adult pool area is just breathtaking. Infinity pool that s eated and hot tub over looking the river.

There are 2 other pools, the lap pool that us heated and the main one which s not. Perso ally I do not understand this no oe was in t it was freezing. We lucked out with great weather. I do not know what you would do if it rained...

It was great for a very family friendly, casual vacation. Do not bring your best attire... It is very very casual.....

I keep thinking this place would be perfect for our next trip but my 1 hang up is that it isn't on the beach, but on a river? Is that true? How is the water/sand in the beach area?

There is a small beach area they have these round lounge Chris that can fit 2 people.

It is not a beach but a river. The kids loved it because there is sand to make sand castles..... Not very crowded since the eis so much other things to do.....

Did it feel weird to go all the way to FL and not go to the beach though?

Nope did not bother me... It's not like we have never been to a beach and there were plenty of things to do. ThEre we're plenty of nice lounge chairs to sit in... Plus they had cabana beds which were awesome all over.... Those cabana beds at other resorts would cost you a ton of money to have for the day..... No issues...
