Hilton Honors and Grand Vacation offers

Has anyone ever been sold into this offer? My sister made a reservation at a Hilton Hotel and "as a special thank you" they offered a 5 day/4night vacation in Hilton Hawaii for $576.00 total.
She said it sounded too good to be true. She got other bonus offers with it such as HHonors bonus points, car rental, etc and there were other destinations such as Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, etc.

Was this legit?

She called me while speaking to the rep. but I told her I've never heard of it. They wanted her to make a deposit on her credit card right away.

I received that call as well. They told me I could pick from Hawaii, Orlando, Las Vegas and I think maybe Myrtle beach. A four day/three night to Orlando was about $239 - when I said no, they offered it at $189 plus extra bonus points and a $200 (I think that was the amount) voucher for a future stay. They said all I had to do was sit through a two-hour presentation about their vacation club.

I am a Hilton Honors member so I didn't think it strange that they called to sell this to me. I did not take them up on their offer so I don't know if it's legit. You can probably go to their vacation site online for more info and a phone number to call to inquire about it.

I am a Starwood owner and they made a call to us about an offer for Orlando.
I would rather have a root canal that sit thru another presentation where I will just tell them at the end that "I am not buying another property, especially not Orlando."

They've been calling me frequently as well (also a Starwood owner). My friend did one of the deals and it's legit - they just try to sell you a timeshare.

It is legit most likely. But it is a push for a timeshare it sounds like. They offer you a great deal, you must sit through a high pressure 2hour sales pitch in return. I would rather not be bothered but some people don't mind it. Not worth it.
