Disney Dining - Toddler not eating?
I'm going to make reservations for myself, DH, and DD for some character meals. We don't have the dining package. If my DD won't be eating the restaurant food, do I still make the reservation for 3 people, or do I make it for 2? She will be 18 months. I want to do the Hollywood & Vine breakfast and probably 2 other places we haven't picked yet.

You must make it for 3 or risk not having a seat for her. The ADRs are for table configurations you say it is for 2 adults and a high chair. If you say only 2 they will only have a two top for you and then there might not be a place for the high chair. Definitely make it for 3.
Buffets are for 3+. So she won't be charged. She can still eat. Do you not want her to? You are not charged at buffets or family style for children under 3. A la carte places if you order a kids meal you will pay for it but if she eats from your plate there is no charge.

Thanks! I would love her to eat out, but she has some food allergies and is also extremely picky. We are trying to get her to eat more foods.

Food allergies are not a problem at disney. Have them noted on your ADRs. Mention you have food allergies at check in. Your server should mention it if not TELL her/him. They will send the chef out to you. The chefs are amazing. My DD just outgrew several food allergies (chocolate, milk, strawberries, oranges and shellfish-she still has the shellfish allergy). They made her dairy free shakes etc. They made her cheese less pizzas with toppings. Disney is the best place to travel with allergies. The chef will walk you through the buffets and if you do not see safe items they will make your DD what she likes. The chefs at sci fi, Akershus, garden grill, Ohana and many others bent over backwards to make my DD happy. You can go to disboards and look under DiSabilities there are many food allergy threads. You can also contact their special needs department. They emailed a tentative allergy sheet. It can change but was very helpful. They can make allergy free Mickey waffles, they have allergy chicken tenders. They have are best with the top allergies, nuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, gluten, shellfish, egg. Just make sure at CS You speak with a manager and ask for the chef at table service. The people I know with the life threatening allergies are happiest at disney bc they are good with allergies.

Not sure her allergies. But I know someone whose child only ate about three of four things. Some restaurants went out and got the child a yogurt or chicken fingers. But if you have food allergies and not a crazy request I bet the chef might make it for you.
