need to get out of the house!
cabin fever is hitting hard over here. anyone have any suggestions for me and DS to do in this cold weather outside of the home? he is 10 months old, I was thinking of mommy and me but I don't want to sit around, I was thinking something that involves excersize since Iam having trouble losing the baby weight....do they have like mommy and me yoga or something? any free places to walk around besides target? lol Iam in the miller place Coram area...

Check out your local stroller strides. Or go on meetup.com and find groups in your area

thank you, I've heard of meetup.com, what exactly is it?
People organize groups based on specific interests. Fitness, social, parenting, etc etc etc. Log on, create a quick profile and search for local new mom groups in your area. Find new friends, play dates, etc

I have heard great things about the middle country library. If you're a member, I would definitely sign up for some programs. If not, you can still go just to check out the play area which is supposed to be great. There's also a little play area at the smith haven mall and you could also let him play at barnes and noble there. The little gym in smithtown is supposed to be fun too.

I also was going to suggest the library.
Look into diff programs they may offer or just bring LO there to the kids section.
Its a great place to meet other moms too.

Middle Country Library! You do not have to be a cardholder for the library to play there... has a museum corner, early childhood play area and never an outdoor nature area for the nicer area. Free and Fun
Also, Children's Museum of the East End is great.

Lol, I was in the same situation last year, and it was a really bad flu season to boot, and my pediatrician recommended the deer park outlets. It's actually really pretty to wander around, you're outdoors with some walkways covered for some protection (Fresh air) but can duck into stores for some warmth. We did this a few times during my leave, and it was perfect.
