Info for Winthrop ladies

I don't post very frequently, but I read all the scary things about delivering there and was pretty nervous, so I want to share my experience.

I had a great experience! I had my DC room in with me, but sent the baby to the nursery in the middle of the night twice with no questions asked--actually the nursing assistant suggested it one night because I was so sick! I wanted to BF, and I did find them to be A LOT more supportive than in the past--everyone was knowledgable & helpful with it, not just a lactation consultant. And I did ask for formula twice and was given it no questions asked. I brought my own binkie.

I shared my fears with one of the people on the floor, who confirmed that all the scary things posted on here were true a few months ago, but they changed their policies.

So fear not! I had a great experience and hope you will, too.

Thanks so much! I'm still a bit nervous though as I am choosing not to breastfeed and I want the baby in the nursery all night so I can get some rest for all of my 3 or 4 nights there! I'm glad you had a great experience and that all of the staff was supportive of your decisions! I hope they'll be of mine as well!
