My dd will be 16 months next week...is this a good age for the Long Island childrens museum...will there be enough to keep her occupied?

We just took DD who is 22 months. There is a tot area which is cute and contained. There is a bubble area and a sand area which she loved. The rest she was a little young for but she had fun running through and exploring anyway.

As soon as the kids started walking, we started taking them to LICM and NYSci. At LICM, aside from the tot area, they loved the bubble area and the sand area (they're side by side). When the music/instruments room upstairs is not full, I let them hang out in there too to explore and try making sounds. In warmer weather, our toddlers enjoy the water area in the back.

Check with your library for free passes!
We took our girls around that age and we had a nice time.

i think if she is walking she will have fun - there is so much for them to touch and play with. DS loved it there!

The tot area will be good for a 16 month old- the rest is a little old. Try the Children's Museum of the East End in Bridghampton- has way more for younger
