Eczema in babies
DS is 3 months old, and has several patches of eczema on his face and scalp. It looks so angry! What is the best thing to use? I've tried Aveeno, Mustela (made his WHOLE face red), and now Eucerin. The Eucerin calming wash and original healing cream is what I've been using since yesterday. It looks better when he's sleeping, and then when he wakes up and struggles a bit, cries a bit, etc...it looks angry again. Any suggestions?

Cerave, cerave and cerave! I swear by it. I use the jar which is thicker. I've tried aquaphor too, but cerave was better. I've been using it since at least 2 mo. Now dd knows the routine and waits for her face cream at night like she's getting a spa treatment. lol

I use the Aveeno one and it works great for my DD but since that didnt work for you I was also told coconut oil, Hydrocortisone cream and Cerave lotion too. Good luck!

That is adorable.
The Dr. recommended Cerave. We used coconut oil on DD's body, but on the face I'd probably go with a cream.

DS has all over body but not face. Doctor thinks it might be a milk protein allergy. So we switched formulas to see if it helps. I'm also using Aveeno eczema lotion. It seems better some days. I think it is starting to itch him now though :( He is 5 months

What strength? 0.5, 1%, or 2.5% (prescription strength)?

This is what I'm afraid of. He's 3 months, but some days he just seems uncomfortable. He is normally a very sweet and peaceful baby who never cries.

1% and it went away. Only thing that worked for her.

My son also has a prescription hydrocortosone cream. We also have to use a humidifier and make sure he is not too hot to keep it under control.

Same and then that didn't work, so my pediatrician gave me a Rx strength hydrocortisone and an antibiotic cream because it had become infected. Ultimately, that didn't work either and I ended up at two different dermatologists because the whole thing went WAY out of control. He was more or less "cured" at 20 months and now at 3, we only really use Cerave (in the tub) after his baths. Trust me, any sort of creams, lotions, balms, and ointments...I've used 'em

My son's dermatologist also has us only using Dove Soap in baths and that also has seemed to help.

We use Dove Sensitive body wash and cerave CREAM (not lotion) b/c the cream is thicker and is more concentrated.
We've been doing that since she was about 3 months old too and have been really good with controlling it.

Eczema in babies
Eucerin aggrivates DD's eczema and turns it that dark angry red. I use california baby super sensitive wash and babyganics bye bye dry lotion or aquafor.
