Cost of filing for a CO?
Hi there,
Does anyone know how much it costs to file for a CO? And any fees associated with it?

There are many variables - are the permits already open? If not you have to file the permits and then the big question is whether the project is up to code to pass inspection to get the CO. If all is good it is just the cost of the permit, but if you have to do work then it can get expensive.

It also depends on what the CO is for. If it's for additional s/f added to the house, you have to pay $X per s/f. Sometimes you need to open several permits to get a CO. Decks need their own permit, plumbing, etc.
It can literally vary from $50 to several thousand, depending on what needs to be caught up.
