painting kids room?
I would like to paint my daughter's room. Poor kid is going to be five years old and has had white walls since birth. My question is about the paint fumes. Will I be able to paint in the morning and have her back in her room that night? Or will I have to figure out different sleeping arrangements? Is there a brand of paint that doesn't give off a lot of fumes?

Mythic Paint has absolutely zero VOCs, so you could stick your head in the can and not get any dangerous fumes from it. Most other common brands have a "zero VOC" paint (they are still legally allowed to have some VOCs, and still be called zero) that have almost no off-gassing.
Focus on anything labelled "zero VOC" paint, and you'll be fine. "Low VOC" is good for other rooms, but I wouldn't paint DC's room with low VOC paint and put them in the room that night, but I definitely would with the Mythic Paint, and probably would with the BM "zero VOC" paint.

We just used Benjamin Moore regal select. It has zero voc. no smell whatsoever. You couldn't even tell DH was painting in our house.
