Video Monitors
I am having so much trouble finding a new monitor (have to replace another broken one).
I cannot seem to find one that has everything I am looking for.
Has anyone seen a monitor that has:
pan/tilt/zoom temperature reading expandable for at least 2 cameras VOX or similar feature (sleep mode for audio/video that comes on when noise is heard)
When I searched I only saw this Foscam (never heard of them) but even though its expandable - they don't sell the extra cameras anywhere

I'm pretty sure my Motorola one does all that except for maybe the sleep mode.

I have the Motorola with two cameras. It has everything you mentioned but the sleep mode. We keep it on low volume, it's def loud enough to hear even without the monitor when dd cried. It also has lights that go from green to red when she is up.
If you really want the foscam I'm sure you can call the company and get extra cameras if it says expandable

Re: Video Monitors
i was going to also suggest the motorola but it doesnt zoom (at least i havent found that function, but i dont really play around with it).
as far as the vox feature - can you just leave the monitor & volume on - if there is no noise you wont hear anything but when the baby makes noise youll be able to hear it. it wont turn the picture on for you, but you can do that with a simple push of a button - and it has lights that light up as the baby gets louder.

problem is I only want to hear if the baby cries and not any other noises (im a light sleeper and it keeps me up). My DS has a sound machine that makes white noise and I can hear it through the monitor. also in the summer when the air conditioners go on/off. If I put the volume down to the lowest setting so I can sleep - I wont hear him calling for me or when the baby gets here I might not hear the baby cry. My first monitor didn't have VOX and I never slept good - the 2nd one I got had it and I love it and couldn't live without it. Unfortunately there were some other flaws and need to get a new one and would prefer the pan/tilt since I have a toddler.

The Motorola has a zoom. I don't remember how to do it but you have to click menu and then go back and forth along the bottom and then use the buttons to go up and down from 1x to 2x.
DH is a light sleeper so I have the monitor on my side. I actually used to wake up with every little noise DS was making but when I lowered the volume on the monitor now I only hear him crying really. The other day I woke up to go to the bathroom and looked at the monitor and DS was standing in his crib. When I went in his room he was blabbing up a storm (he's almost 8 months). I didn't hear any of it on the monitor.
