How do you distinguish NB congestion from a cold?
I know nasal congestion is normal in a NB but this weekend DD2 (6 weeks) seemed more congested than usual. I've been running a humidifier and aspirated. Today she seems more mucus-y and some is coming out when she sneezes. Does this seem more like a cold? DD1 and DH had colds earlier this month and today my throat is scratchy so I'm wondering if she has it. No fever, she's eating well and isn't irritable. It doesn't sound like it's in her chest at all--just her nose and she doesn't have a cough.
My doctor's office is closed today. Do you think it's worth talking to an on-call doctor or just wait until morning? I feel like they will tell me to humidfy, aspirate and watch for fever anyway.
