That should really get fixed. Anyone looking at the site for a 2-family house will obviously pass right over it, and people looking for a single-family house will be annoyed when they visit the house and see the 2nd kitchen.
Is it a permitted 2 family, or more of a mother/daughter setup?
I LOVE the yard, though....

I didn't look at the house, but just wanted to chime in on this (in case anyone cares in general) --
2 family status is pretty rare on Long Island, except for certain discrete towns and areas. You really want a 2 family house, you have to make sure that it was built as a 2 family or was later converted to a 2 family by C/O. A 2 family means that it does not need to be owner-occupied -- both units can be rented out to non-relatives. 2-family houses will typically have no access (like an interior staircase between the two units) and will have 2 heating systems, 2 electric meters, water meters, etc. 2-family status conveys with the house... doesn't matter who owns it.
Most of the time when you see any type of two family set up (with a second kitchen), it's a one family home that could be a mother/daughter by permit. Mother-daughter status does NOT convey with the house; it is specific to the owner, and an owner must show they will qualify (typically need a familial relationship, usually parent/child, but some towns now allow siblings, for example). You need interior access between units, usually just have one set of utility meters, one heating system, etc.
The tricky thing is that many mother/daughter set ups will show as a 2 family home on something like www.mynassauproperty.com, b/c they are being taxed as such, but they are NOT 2-family homes. So any buyers must be diligent on running title and doing their due diligence with the town/village at issue.
Also, it is customary on Long Island for one family homes to have "illegal" second kitchens and accessory apartments. Sometimes you can get away with that for closing, depends on the lender.
