I'm not saying it's not in poor taste or poor thinking on their part. But I'm certain they didn't write this song with the intention of promoting violence against women. As for young women looking up to her. I can understand that but she's a grown married woman...if she wants to sing about having her vagina pounded by her husband or riding his deek...that's her prerogative. There are parental guidelines that parents need to ensure are followed by their kids and parents need to discuss these things with their kids...beyonce and jay z should not be resposible for being the role models for youth who probably aren't even old enough to buy their current album without a parent. They are just people who decided to be artists / musicians for a career. They should not be glorified as anything more than that or expected to set or uphold standards IMO.
Well, I definitely agree with you about parents needing to take responsibility for what their kids listen too. I also 100 % agree that celebrities don't ask to be role models. And that Beyoncé and Jay Z certainly should not be glorified as such. But, sadly they are, so it would be nice if they could be a little bit more responsible...not saying that have to be, I support freedom of expression. But I think they could have found plenty of ways to say the same thing in their song without the Tyson or Turner references if they wanted to ... They want controversy bc like every other celebrity, they want to stay in the spotlight. So essentially, they are NO better than Kim and Kanye who also do and say outrageous things to stay famous.

Where were all you guys a few months ago when I called Jay Z and Beyonce idiots, LMFAO.
Kanye referenced Kim's sex tape before in a song so this isnt anything new. They are both so proud of it....
As far as this song I never get past the "Ive Been Drinking" before I change the channel so I never heard the words. Beyonce sounds like she is whining in it. As far as Jay-Z he lost me with "Vanilla Wafers in the Villa" in the song with JT
