When was the moment you knew you became your parents?
For me it was when I just licked my fingers to wipe stuff off my dd's face..
And so it begins...
I will add though that I would happily be the mother my mom was to me and I miss her terribly.

LOL...totally the same moment. When I licked my finger to wipe the "shmutz" off her face when she was an infant, I knew I was definitely my Jewish mother (not that other mothers don't do that).

I totally just did the lick and shmutz wipe the other day. But for me it was the first time I said to DH "I haven't peed all day, give me a break". My mom used to say that allll the time and I was like what do you mean you don't have time to pee? Now I get it.

I was walking to the train, and my friend was walking her kids to school and one of the kids said to my friend... isnt that Haileys mom!
I even posted on FB about it lol so i can literally tell you the day i felt like a parent!

when i said to my DS 'night night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite' and then caught myself and inwardly cringed because that has such a different/scary meaning now as an adult!
