do i need a double stroller?

DD will be 3 when DS is born. Yesterday when walking to work i started to worry that we will for things like trips to the zoo and if i were ever to go for walks with the both of them to the park this summer, etc... I guess i could always have DD in the stroller and DS in the Ergo or something like that...

I currently have a city mini and a vista...but someone told me that the second seat on the vista doesn't work too well...

which would i give up and what would be a good replacement? We are in an apartment and I also have a BOB so not sure how to even convince DH to let me get another stroller without giving one up.

My kids are 2 1/2 years apart...we figured when our little one was born we would just wing it and see if we needed a double...we wound up getting a sit and stand stroller (the Joovy one) and we've actually used it more than I thought we would. It's the Joovy ultra light caboose, it comes with an optional seat you can purchase and it snaps in. It comes in handy. I'm sure you can look on their website and see what I'm talking about. I think it was money well spent. A friend of mine got an actual double stroller and she hardly uses it because it's so big and heavy...

All you need is the second seat or the standing board for the Vista IMO. The second seat isn't great, but it will do the trick for the few times you will need it.

I got a double bob and a sit and stand when I had my second DS. They where exactly three years apart. I take a lot of walks so for me a Double Jogger was great to have. For my son at 3 he still wanted to sit in a stroller at say the mall and still does at almost 5. So sit and stand works out.
