Montessori vs Traditional Kindergarten
Has anyone sent their child to Montessori or other kindergarten program that DOESN'T follow the common core standards?
We have had DS in Montessori preschool since he was 2, and are conflicted about what to do for kindergarten. I don't want him to miss out on any key principles of common core that may be taught in public school kindergarten. Another concern is that they really focus on writing in cursive, (not print) in our Montessori in kindergarten.
Would especially love any teacher's thoughts on the Montessori curriculum versus common core & traditional kindergarten. Thank you SO much!
(I apologize to anyone who also saw this post on FB).

We are considering sending the boys to Montessori K. Our reasoning is, they are both so different and have such different learning styles that we cant believe Common Core learning would work for both of them. Where I live there is a lottery so we will see if they can both get in!

Re: Montessori vs Traditional Kindergarten
I love Montessori, for preschool.
We live in a great school district. If we were not, I'd continue Montessori, but doesn't make sense to pay our taxes & pay for the school too.
