Powder formula
With my cousin (new mom). What are the rules around powdered formula after making a bottle and baby only drinking one ounce. She wants to know f she can save for another feeding?

Once the bottle is started by the baby it has to be used within the hour technically. If she mixes formula ahead of time it can go in the fridge and used within 48 hours.

The one hour after starting is correct - but I'm pretty sure its 24 hours after mixing, not 48..

Re: Powder formula
If the baby has already started drinking the bottle, it should be used within the hour. You can store prepared formula for up to 24 hours.

Re: Powder formula
After making a bottle and NOT refrigerating it, it is good up to 2 hours. BUT once LO starts drinking from it... after an hour it should get dumped!
